There are a lot of projects and interventions that have been proposed because of the reading problem in every school.
One of the effective approaches in teaching word recognition is the Modified Marungko Approach. This approach in reading is to instill in the minds of the pupils to communicate in written and oral forms through effective reading instruction, to increase the number of independent readers. In this approach, letters of the alphabet are introduced, and these letters are combined to form words, then phrases, sentences and short stories are formed from these words.
Parental involvement in reading activities at home has significant positive influences on the reading development and interest of students.
